ABOUT THE TRIP
We'll overland across the Namib desert to the famous climbing destination "Spitzkoppe", camping under the stars each night in remote wilderness between granite domes and sandy dunes. We’ll fall asleep in a desert so quiet that only the calls of oryxes break the silence, and we'll wake up to morning light painting orange rock gold.

What’s woven into the trip
Time with the San Bushmen.
Walk with the world’s oldest storytellers through the Erongo Mountains. With a lineage that can be traced back 100,000 years, they are one of the few hunter & gatherer tribes left.

A rhythm of stillness and movement.
Climb the granite domes of Spitzkoppe, then sit still beneath stars. Drive dusty desert roads, pause for a coffee under an acacia tree. Share homemade sangria with new friends, and journal in the quiet moments.

Connection through service.
Back in Windhoek, your group will shop and deliver essentials to local street children — a reminder that leadership begins with empathy, and that impact is personal.

Itinerary
Beginners welcome, no climb or camp experience necessary!
Day 1 — Windhoek (Arrival Day)
When you arrive in Windhoek, Vas or our driver will meet you at the airport and shuttle you to Urban Camp, our easygoing base in the city with shady trees, a small beer garden, Wi-Fi, and a pool. Depending on arrival time and energy, opt into a Windhoek orientation: a stop at the National Museum/Alte Feste precinct for Namibia’s big-picture history and a short drive through the Katutura township to meet vendors at the Single Quarters and sample kapana (beef grilled over open coals). Or simply rest, shower, and adjust to the altitude and desert dryness. In the evening we’ll gather for a casual welcome dinner to meet the group, share intros, and set intentions for the week.

Day 2 — Erongo (San Culture & Wilderness Skills)
After breakfast, we’ll drive about three hours northwest to the Erongo Mountains, a dramatic circle of granite peaks and ancient volcanic domes. Our destination is Omandumba camp, a family-run guest farm & bush camp on a large stretch of remote farmland for some starry-sky bush camping. In the morning we visit the Living Museum of the San near Omandumba. You’ll learn bow-and-arrow basics, tracking, plant uses, fire-making, and join a cultural walk guided by San community members. We’ll return to camp and have a relaxed fire-side dinner. The light here turns golden as the sun dips, and you’ll understand why the Erongo is considered Namibia’s soul. After dark, we’ll go on a scorpion-walk with UV torches to spot fluorescent bark scorpions on the rock—an unforgettable peek at nocturnal desert life. Then we'll enjoy our first stargazing session—Erongo’s night sky is brilliant on clear evenings
